It describes and links to sources about present or past residents, but it does not host government records and is not affiliated with any office, court, library, or custodian.
2. Lawful Use Rules

Chico Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

County and state portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Chico Residents Directory does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, charges, or data practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.

An agency generally makes a determination within 10 calendar days, with a written extension of up to 14 additional days possible in unusual circumstances.
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Civil Code §§1798.100 et seq., governs applicable privacy rights and requests described in the Privacy Policy; it does not make this private service the custodian of Chico or Butte County records. Safe at Home protections under Government Code §§6205-6216 remain controlled by the Secretary of State and the relevant enrolling agency.
12. Severability
If a court finds any provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
